Impatiently Waiting

I'm spending my day stalking the windows, on the lookout for the UPS truck. I am hoping for my Too Faced order to arrive. The tracking info has not been updated since yesterday afternoon when it arrived at the closest UPS hub, which typically means whatever I'm waiting on will be delivered the next day. The scheduled delivery date is tomorrow though, and as the status has not been changed to "out for delivery" it would seem they're just going to leave it sitting until tomorrow. They've done that before. But they have also delivered things a day or two early before; and they've also not updated the status to "out for delivery" and yet I've gotten my packages anyway. So basically I have NO clue if it's on the way or not. But that does not stop me from incessantly checking the tracking, hoping it will say it's out for delivery. Nor does it stop me from pacing by the windows and hoping every vehicle I hear approaching is the UPS truck. I just have no patience for such things... and this is the only thing I don't like about shopping online. The waiting.

My sister-friend and I are going to Fright Night tomorrow; hopefully the weather will be nice. At the moment the forecast shows it will be mid to low 60's around the time we will be there but it also shows rain. as Fright Night is a primarly out-doors thing that is bad news. But the forecast is often wrong, so hopefully there will be no rain while we are out. I will have to plan my wardrobe accordinly though and I will have to remember to bring an umbrella just in case. It rained the last time I went to Fright Night. Honestly Fright Night is not my thing but since my sister-friend really wants me to go with her I'm going. If nothing else I can have a funnelcake and play some carnivale-style games and maybe win a stuffed animal or something. I have no intentions of going through the haunted house though. Again, just not my thing. But even if it were, they use so much fake fog there it irritates my eyes.

I might make an attempt at curling my hair tomorrow too; I did a little test run the other day with just a couple rollers just to try to get a little more practice with them and I think I've got my technique figured out. Of course, it will result in spiral curls rather than normal curls but hey, curls are curls right? Since my hair is too long to wrap around the rollers myself the usual way, I tried instead just holding the roller close to the roots and wrapping the hair around the roller; it worked well, just when you do that you get spiral curls. I like spiral curls though so it works out I guess. I just need to have the patience to put all my hair up in the rollers. I am going to need more clips to hold the rollers in place too. I bought two packs of them - they're like hair ties, I don't know where the things disappear to!

Anyway, I don't know if my dad will want to go out today or not but in the event he does I will have to make sure I have my grocery list ready and such so I'm going to take a peek at that and make sure it's not missing anything. Maybe a run for groceries would be good - it would distract me from waiting for my Too Faced order!
